  1. My answer is: each of the 8 organisers must pay £5.16.
    My working out:

Sausages=240 people divided by 15 (the amount of people per kg of sausage)=16
    16 kg is the amount of sausages needed: £5.20 x 16 = £83.20

Rolls = 240 people divided by 12 ( the amount of people per packet of rolls)= £20

    £83.20
    + £20.00
£103. 20 (the amount of money needed)

    10% = £10.32 10% x 3= £30.96 + 5% = £36.12 (Sports Club committee)
    5% = £5.16 10% x 2 = £20.64 + 5% = £25.80 (Local Business)
    35%+25%= 60% (40% remains) 10% x 4 = £41.28 ( 8 organisers)
    £41.28 divided by 8 = £5.16

  2. £5.16 is the answer because:
    240/15=16
    £5.20x16=£83.20
    240/12=£20
    £20+£83.20=£103.20
    35% of £103.20=£36.12
    25% of £103.20=£25.80
    £36.12+£25.80=£61.92
    £103.20-£61.92=£41.28
    £41.28/8=£5.16

  3. 240/15=16 (kg of sausages needed)
    £5.20 x 16= £83.20 ( total cost of sausages)
240/12=20 (packs of bread rolls needed)
    £1 x 20= £20 (cost of bread rolls)
    £83.20 + £20= £103.20 ( total cost of hot dogs)
    £103.20 x 35%= £36.12 ( committee contribution)
    £103.20 x 1/4= £25.80 ( businesses man donation)
    £36.12 + £25.80= £61.92 ( total money contribution)
    £103.20 - £61.92= £41.28 ( remaining cost of the food)
£41.28 /8=£5.16 (money each of the 8 organizer has to pay to cover the cost of the food)

  4. 240/15 = 16
    16 x £5.20 = £83.20
    240/12 = £20
    £83.20 + £20 = £103.20 (the total cost for the food)
    35% of £103.20 = £36.12
    1/4 (also one quarter or 25%) of £103.20 = £25.80
    £36.12 + £25.80 = £61.92
    £103.20 - £61.91 = £41.28
    £41.28/8 = £5.16
£5.16 is how much each of the 8 organizers has to pay.

  5. Rolls:
    240 divided by 12 =20=£20.00
    Sausages:
    240 divided by 15=16
    16 kg x5.20=£83.20
    £83.20 +£20=£103.20-total cost for food
    35%+25%=60%
The 8 organisers have to pay 40% of the total cost altogether.
    40% of £103.20 is £41.28.
    £41.28 divided by 8 is £5.16.
Each of the organisers have to pay £5.16.

  6. Split the question in to bits.

    SAUSAGES

    240 people/15=16x5.20=£83.20

    BREAD ROLLS

    240/12=20x£1.00=£20.00

    £20.00+£83.20=£103.20

    A business man pays a 1/4(known as 25%)so

    25%+35%=60%

    10%=103.2x6=619.20
    5%=51.6x1=51.6

    619.20+51.6=670.8

    10%=103.2x4=412.8

    £412.80/8=£51.60

So the conclusion is that each man has to pay £51.60

  7. First, 240/15 = 16 x £5.20 = £83.20.
    Then 240/12 + £83.20 = 103.20(total cost for food)
    (35% of £103.20) + (1/4 of £103.20) = £61.92
    £103.20 - £61.92 = £41.28/8 = £5.16

The organizers have to pay £5.16 each. :)

  8. so...
Firstly we need to find out how much everything costs,

    If 1kg of sausages feeds 15 people, 240 divide by 15 = 16 so 16 x £5.20 = £83.20.
    If a pack of bread rolls feeds 12 people, 240 divide by 12 = 20, 20 x 1 = £20.

Now we need to calculate the two together to find how much money is spent on the food altogether so, £83.20 + £20 = £103.20.

Next we need to find the percentages taken off the total money spent so,

Firstly we need to take 35% of £103.20 which is £36.12
Then we to find 25% of £103.20 which is £25.80

Finally we need to add them together which is £61.92 and then take it away from £103.20 which is £41.28, lastly because there are 8 organizers you divide £41.28 by 8 which is £5.16

So the answer is The 8 organizers have to pay £5.16 each.
